Customer context

Groupe France Mutuelle was using three different desktop publishing tools for document management and production. The main challenges were :

Multiplicity of desktop publishing tools: the group used an "in-house" tool developed in-house, integrated with their ERP AIA (publisher CSC) and operating in interactive mode. At the same time, an off-the-shelf batch solution was used for mass document production, and report development tools such as Crystal Report and Jasper Report were used to create reports in transactional mode.

High development costs: the IT developments required to maintain and update these various tools represented a high cost for the company. Each modification or update required significant resources, both in terms of time and money.

Slow document updates: the multiplicity of tools and the complexity of their maintenance led to a lack of responsiveness when it came to updating documents. This posed a major problem for the group, which had to adapt rapidly to regulatory changes and customer needs.

Hindering innovation and the creation of new products: the difficulty of managing several desktop publishing tools acted as a brake on the creation of new products. Introducing new offerings required costly and time-consuming development, which limited the Group's ability to respond rapidly to market opportunities.

The Osidoc intervention

To solve these complex problems and streamline processes, Osidoc was deployed within the group. Osidoc's intervention involved the following actions:

Urbanization of Osidoc to replace the three existing tools: Osidoc has been integrated as a single desktop publishing solution to replace the three systems previously used, combining unitary and batch transactional and interactive uses.

Integration with third-party solutions: Osidoc has been integrated with the main solutions already in place within the Group, such as the AIA ERP, Salesforce and the EDM tool.

Outgoing communication with Group tools: distribution mechanisms have been put in place to enable documents and data to be sent automatically to Group applications.

The results

The integration of Osidoc has had a major impact on the Group's operational efficiency and responsiveness, with tangible and significant results:

Reduced development costs and timescales: the unification of all tools into a single centralized solution has considerably reduced the costs associated with IT development.

Improved responsiveness and flexibility: the ease with which models can be updated on Osidoc has enabled the group to be more responsive and adapt quickly to regulatory changes and new market requirements.

Streamlined processes and consistent document flows: the centralization of document management operations via Osidoc has standardized and streamlined all document processes. Documents are now produced, validated and distributed efficiently and consistently.

Optimized document distribution: Osidoc enabled optimum management of printing and e-mailing, thanks to seamless integration with the EDM and other third-party solutions. This not only reduced printing costs, but also accelerated communication with customers and partners.

In conclusion, Groupe France Mutuelle's adoption of Osidoc has transformed their desktop publishing management into a centralized, efficient and flexible solution, perfectly meeting operational needs while reducing costs and increasing responsiveness. Thanks to Osidoc, the group can now focus on innovation and continuous improvement of its services, in full compliance and with increased efficiency.
